The book begins at Samantha and Slate’s wedding reception where Lindsey and Taz are maid of honor and best man. After this, Lindsey and Taz are continually thrown together. They are attracted to one another but, Lindsey is only twenty and a junior in college, while Taz is twenty eight, and works for the FBI with Slate. Even though there is an attraction between them, they don’t feel comfortable following their desires because of the age difference and Samantha and Slate wouldn’t be happy.
Lindsey has gone through a tough year. Her mother and father have divorced and she has learned her father is a criminal. She is also unhappy because she hasn’t been successful in love.
Taz is a bad-boy and a player and has never had a series relationship. He has green eyes, tattoos and a great body. When he meets Lindsey, he can’t seem to stop thinking about her. He and Slate work on many cases together and are best friends. Because of their friendship, Taz tries to keep his hands off Lindsey.
Andrea Smith writes an entertaining story with mystery and suspense. I was never sure who the bad guy was. And what a bad guy he turns out to be. There are some graphic scenes of what he does to Lindsey that made me a little uncomfortable. Can bad-boy Taz learn to settle down?
