Satisfying Conclusion. In this final chapter of the REBEL WING trilogy, the stakes are raised higher than ever with the reveal of a spy inside Aris' unit. After some of the most heart-stopping action and intrigue in the trilogy, we get a satisfying conclusion to all arcs. Very well done, and highly recommended - but read the first two books first!

You know that feeling when you read a series, and Book 1 is great, mind blowing even; Book 2 lags a bit, and then turns out to be awesome... And finally, comes Book 3, you start reading it, but not as excitedly anymore, but soon the story sucks you in and there's all that magic that strung you along in the first place?

That was this series for me.

It's been a deeply enjoyable experience. In the first place, the books have come out not very far between, all in the same year, and it's been the perfect timing, because it makes sense from a marketing POV, but also doesn't make the reader suffer as much as he would having to wait another year.

Also, Rebel Wing came out shortly after I started blogging, and now Torn Sky is here, and very close to the date of A Writer's Tales blogoversary, so you can tell why this series is so special for me too. It's been a journey for the two and the end of a really good stage in my life.

Now, as for Torn Sky; it starts out soon after where Storm Fall left off, and although that first scene is super sweet, it failed to grab my attention a whole lot. I struggled with that first chapter because I needed something new, something to keep me hooked. I didn't have to wait too long, so YAY

This series' strong points are mainly the wonderful female characters, that with flaws and all, and without being special snowflakes, show strenght, and determination. Those two things that every human being is capable of but some people seem to be under the impression that women just don't have it in them. The second thing, is the realism in the descriptions of how life in the army is. It really shows that the author knows what she's talking about.

After the first plot point, things got interesting and sped up considerably. People were all on edge, and it was awesome seeing them struggle as time run out to act.

Some characters truly stole the spotlight, and with good reason! PALLAS IS MY NEW HERO SHE'S THE HEROINE OF THIS SERIES

In conclusion, I'm sad to part from this story and I'm excited about the author's future projects :)
