It also seemed to have a much younger focus as Tahoe's sister is right out of college and is 22 whereas the others in the series have been more mid 20's so I didn't like that either. I just found the story overall hard to believe. No one told her, her brother just kind of vanished from her life for a while. I felt like I was reading a slow motion car crash through the whole book.
I also cannot believe he kept pursuing her after he found out she was his BEST FRIEND's little sister. I don't think that type of guy would be the type to end up marrying her at the end. I just felt like he had very little respect for his friends and I can't believe his best friends were Tahoe and Malcolm, two of my favorite men in romance novels ever. He's so different.
I am glad I finished the book even though I found it very unrealistic, especially since Olivia just says she's going to give up on her dreams for him after 3 months. I didn't have much respect for Olivia/Callan in this book at all.
