Quirky Cat
Summary:
In the world of My Hero Academia, approximately eighty percent of the population (and growing) have been born with quirks – unique superpowers. Midoriya is part of the twenty percent group – born without a quirk. He never let that destroy his dreams of becoming a hero, and look at him now!
It's the fight we've all been waiting for. Or one of them, at any rate. The heroes and the villains are about to battle it out, with Hawks and the Paranormal Liberation Front in the center. The U.A. students will play an important role in what is to come.
Review:
I think I could read My Hero Academia Vol. 27 a hundred times and still feel that emotional hit every time. This is a heavy volume, but it's also brilliant. The battles are bold and fascinating, with hidden depths everywhere.
In truth, I loved this arc, especially the earlier bits. In particular, I loved the moments surrounding Mirko and Hawks. Hawks is my favorite MHA hero (though I have several running for second place), and Mirko is just plain awesome. This is their moment to shine; boy, it is something to see!
I also love that a few of the U.A. kids get a chance to shine, many of which may be a surprise. It's nice to see Class 1B getting more attention (and frankly, I would love to see it even more). My only regret is that we don't see students from other schools getting involved. Given the scale, you'd think it would have been inevitable.
Do not skip this plot; it feels like the culmination of several leads and was worth the wait.
