I enjoyed The Last Little Blue Envelope more than 13 Little Blue Envelopes.

The plot is more linear and makes more sense. In 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Ginny traveled from one country to another following instructions from a bunch of letters. There wasn't any goal. In The Last Little Blue Envelope, there's a mission and items that need to be found - almost like a continent treasure hunt.

Ginny feels like a real character in The Last Little Blue Envelope, but she, along with the other characters, lack depth. Keith's jerk tendencies are brought to light and I prefer Oliver, the new love interest, over him. However, I couldn't get behind Oliver as a love interest because firstly, he blackmails Ginny and secondly, Oliver and Ginny only have one meaningful conversation. Ellis is a fun and quirky character, but I don't understand what she sees in Keith. The only character that I like is Richard and wish that he had more scenes in The Last Little Blue Envelope. He's kind and considerate and I love the family-relationship that he and Ginny have.

The Last Little Blue Envelope is a light-hearted sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes. Although I enjoyed it a little more, it's ultimately unmemorable.

I did love 13 Little Blue Envelopes when I read it years ago and was okay with the ending. I didn't realize there was a follow up until later and wasn't dying to read it.

I'm lucky enough to be able to listen to audiobooks while working and I've been using my e-library to fill the time. When I saw this book available, my curiosity and need got me to borrow it.

It starts with her struggling with a bland college essay trying to write about her previous summer. Soon enough she's contacted by Oliver, Letter Finder and Blackmailer, and off to Europe again we go.

This trip this time around wasn't as fun and exciting. At first it was REALLY hard to listen to as Gin just goes along with Oliver, doesn't bother asking him questions or looking him up, being such a wet blanket. She's hung up over Keith, and his new girlfriend Ellis.

It's a bunch of dull driving, Keith being an ass, Ellis being nice, Gin being dull, and Oliver being a bastard. There's one action scene of criminal activity and that's it. Everything else is...not as good as the first. Nothing really happens until the end when Gin bucks the fuck up and takes charge of herself and her future.

The best consistent thing is Uncle Richard. He's amazing and I love their relationship.

And be nice to the kitties and the Cat Man!! Stupid Keith. >:(
And I got real tired of listening to the smoking complaints. And what smoker doesn't smell like smoke to non-smokers? Makes no sense to me.
The romance wasn't all that to me either.

I like how it ended at least. But kinda weird how Gin is so attached to these people...I don't really need another in this series and if there ever is, I'd def. skip it. Leaving it as a one off would've preserved it's strength and potency.

I loved this book! I read the first one years ago but I don’t know why I never read the second one til now. It is the perfect cure for wanderlust and now I just want my long lost aunt to send me on a scavenger hunt around Europe.

I was really glad Johnson revisited Ginny's story, and gave us the last envelope. I did feel that I had closure with the previous book, but a little piece of me wondered about that last envelope. Again, we go on an awesome trip. This time, Ginny is joined by Keith, Ellis, and Oliver, and that means more mayhem and drama. My only problem was the very end. It seemed abrupt. I guess I could extrapolate, and speculate what happened next, but I wish there was a little bit more. Yes, Ginny made some great self discoveries, and some big life decisions, but it was not enough for me. Maybe Johnson was going to continue Ginny's European adventure, maybe not, but I wish there was a little bit more to the ending.
