Soundstart is a phonics-based reading programme, providing seven levels of progression from pre-reading to age 7. The Core and Booster Packs consist of twelve mixed titles - six Core Readers and six Booster Readers at each level. The Core Books at Red Level introduce an initial 19-word sight vocabulary and the main characters. The Booster Readers provide practise and consolidation of the phonic patterns. Core and Booster titles are available in guided reading sets (single title x 5).
