You know those series that you start - love the first book - and then for some unknown reason never get around to finishing? Well, that was the Ivy Chronicles for me. So, when Brandee and I were looking for a series to buddy read that wasn't too long, I was excited that we BOTH had only read the first book of this one. Perfect match. And boy do I wonder how we both didn't finish it years ago! Such a great series and, in this case, Sophie Jordan saved the best for last. I loved everything about Wild.

First off, in a trilogy that is SIZZLING, this one took was ON FIRE. My first comment to Brandee about the book was something like "Holy shit, their chemistry is electric." And it stayed that way from start to end. So, if you enjoy a hot romance, you will enjoy this.

So, let's talk about these electric characters, shall we? I identified so much with Georgia. She's spent her entire life trying to be everything her mom wants to the detriment of her own wants and, honestly, needs. It's a beautifully complex relationship and I think Sophie Jordan wrote it really well. Georgia's mom loves her and that's part of what makes what is really an abusive relationship even harder to come to grips with and harder for Georgia to stand up for herself. I enjoyed watching her grow as a character into someone who could stand up for herself. However, (and this is why I give it 4.5 stars) she took her time! I grew impatient with Georgia and wanted her to grow a spine!

Logan, on the other hand, has the patience of a saint, because he never does give up on her. And, as Brandee remarked, that's incredible in someone his age (18/19). He knew she was his person and while he had boundaries and self-respect, he also had incredible patience and forgiveness. Logan really steals the show in this book, because he's just so complex and well-written. He looks like the typical player jock on the outside and yet that's not who he is in the slightest. Even his brother (whom I truly love from book 1) has Logan wrong.

Beyond the sizzle and some fantastic character growth, there's a glimpse of the other two couples and some pretty hilarious moments too. This book (series really) reminded me why I often enjoy New Adult books - watching people who are leaving the immaturity of the teen years and finding their place as adults, when well-written, can be truly fantastic. Although I'm thrilled to have caught up on another series, I am a little sad there isn't more!

This is a testament to Jordan's writing that I'd give this book 3 stars after how much I started to hate Georgia for taking so fucking long to come into her own. Each and every single time that she denied her feelings at Logan's expense, I wanted to throat punch the crap out of her. She drove me up the wall for far too long in this book but I loved Logan, I loved how mature he was and how sure of his feelings and of himself he was in this book to give this book anything less than 3 stars. Logan completely saved this book for me. LOVED HIM.

I will admit, I hadn't read the other books in this series. But as I blindly walked into WILD, I discovered a set of characters who I fell in love with, especially Logan. Which has made me desperate to read the other two books in the series.

WILD focuses on Georgia as she tries to navigate as her best friends find happiness with their significant others and she finds herself alone. She's broken up with her boyfriend who had some not so nice things to say about her which in turn causes Georgia to step outside her good girl comfort zone and goes a little wild. But her night of night of wildness at the secret campus sex club brings her front and center with campus playboy Logan Mulvaney who also happens to be her friends little brother.
I loved Georgia. She has the weight of her parents expectations riding on her shoulders and you couldn't help but want her to go wild after her ex had beaten her down with his ugly words. Georgia was most definitely not comfortable jumping over to the bad girl side, but she found it freeing and she was able to discover there was a side to herself that she kept locked away so she could meet the expectations of her family. But it wasn't only her wildness that helped her figure out who she is, but Logan. He saw her for who she truly was and wanted nothing more for her to be that person. Georgia fights everything, including Logan, but when she finally stops to realize what she wants...it's Logan, their relationship and the new Georgia she's become.

I adored the book and the characters. This was a witty, sexy, and emotional read that was like a breath of fresh air . I was hooked from the very first page.
