I haven't read the prequel and it kind of felt like I was missing half the story. I didn't really like Leine. I just never connected with her or any of the characters. There were a couple of funny lines and I enjoyed the dry humour. The mystery was somewhat interesting but overall this just fell kind of flat for me. Still I'll read the next one in the series, or maybe the prequel first.
