Sweet Sinful Nights is jam packed with drama! Some of it I liked, some of it I wasn't that into. I really believed Shannon and Brent's fight and their break-up. It was a messed up situation, and he really should have talked to her about it before making decisions for both of them. I also liked how she didn't immediately fall back into his arms. He had to work for it! Of course, there are plenty of sexy times along the way, but the two do fall back in love. They also have more fights, but always come back together. The big one that almost breaks them up again was the one that I didn't really care about. It's not really fair to call that situation "drama" since it is something tragic that happens to lots of people, but I really didn't care.
The only thing that kept me from loving Sweet Sinful Nights was the dialogue. It was all very melodramatic and occasionally had me rolling my eyes. I just don't believe that real people speak this way, even when caught up in passion. It also made them seem kind of obsessed with each other, which they probably are, but it still didn't feel natural. At least they talked out their feelings though.
Sweet Sinful Nights was a good read. It's not my favorite of the author's Romances, but I enjoyed it. I do wish the Romantic Suspense elements had been more prominent. I was very interested in what was going on with Shannon's mother and her case. That final page especially had me eager for more!
