I like twists as much as the next reader but feeling like the main character was lying inside her own private thoughts for the duration of the book was irritating. I was enjoying the book well enough until the end and the big reveal. It just felt like I'd been lied to with everyone else and readers want to be in the know.

Sure, there are telepaths and empaths in Trixa's world and she has to keep her true thoughts close, but really, in her head she just didn't think anything at all about what she really believed? I don't buy it.
