The secondary, but just as important, goal is that participants be challenged yet still have fun. The third goal, being in the classroom themselves, the authors felt it was important for instructors to be able to diagnose how participants are progressing in a quick and easy manner. The primary focus of The Marketing Game! is on effective marketing strategy planning in a competitive environment. This gives the students the opportunity to experience the role of a marketing manager first-hand by analyzing markets and targeting market needs.
