After reading [b:Rock and a Hard Place|11419693|Rock and a Hard Place (The Jamieson Collection, #1)|Angie Stanton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327887424s/11419693.jpg|16352764], I knew I had to get my hands on everything Stanton has ever written, specifically the next in the Jamieson Collection. Unfortunately, I found this to be a slight disappointment. It's not that this is a bad book, but in my opinion Stanton is capable of a lot more.
This book pretty much divides into two sections; the first happens in camp, while the second is after camp. I really didn't like the first part of the book, in camp. The only reason I kept reading is that I know Angie Stanton and believed things would get better, plus this is a really quick read. Fortunately for me, I was right and the second part was much, much better. In fact, I highly enjoyed it!
The thing that irked me the most about the first part was Marti's behavior; at first she likes Adam, thinks he's a great guy. But when she finds out he's a rock star, she suddenly does a 180 degrees change and decides he's awful and deceptive and that he's going to grow up and become addicted to drugs and desert his family and be a generally horrible person. She basically maps up his entire future based on her prejudice, and decides to hate him for something that he hasn't even done... To read the rest of this review, go here!
