This is one of two photocopiable resources which provide valid and reliable tests on Mathematics National Curriculum levels 2 to 8 for Attainment Targets 2 to 4, together with answers, mark schemes and cutscores to determine pupils' achievement. The resource is intended for use in both primary and secondary schools, and the tests can be used with all pupils, whatever mathematics course they use. The material is constructed to provide complete coverage of the 1995 Programme of Study; and to offer reliable evidence for teacher assessment which can be used with confidence for monitoring progress, diagnosing weaknesses, and reporting to parents. The tests provide reinforcement of teachers' own professional judgement about pupils' progress. They are short, easy to mark and record, and the marking scheme allows for "follow through" marking. The pupil's level of attainment is derived directly from the mark obtained. The Teacher's Notes whithin each file provide: an explanation of how to use the tests; resources required; answer and mark scheems; Pupil Profile Shet; Class Record Sheet for whole class monitoring; and curscores to determine the level achieved.
This Profile covers levels 2 to 5.
