Kyle spied Lily as she writes one day on the beach. From that moment on, Kyle is determined, in a dominate and most over-protective way, to make Lily his. Kyle doesn't realize that the girl he's instantly fallen for has spent the past three years hiding from everyone in hopes of never having to bare the soul shattering loss that she felt when her parents and sister died. But while Lily is determined to keep her distance, she underestimates just what she means to Kyle.
The romance in this story was cute and at times very sexy. Kyle was a hero that I liked, even when he was at his bossiest. But there were some quirks to the storyline that made it hard for me to really like or even love the story. Plot points jumped around, the stalking storyline seemed to get dropped in at odd times and then there was some strange choices of wording in certain scenes:
(ex: "He deliberately inserted two fingers into me...")
This wasn't one of my favorite New Adult reads, but I think others will enjoy this despite my feelings. If for nothing else, read it for Kyle, because he was a leading man I would have loved to have red more of.
