Cale's book! Cale was awesome in the previous two books and he was awesome in this. I loved that he was willing to go toe to toe with Mercer to protect Cassidy. And Cassidy was another badass heroine. She's got a wicked left hook and likes to conceal a weapon - knife/gun, etc and is willing to use them. I liked that when she's kidnapped in the van she saves herself. None of this waiting for a man. Just point, shoot and jump from the moving vehicle. I felt sorry for her though, she's clearly led a hard lonely life.

The villain was predictable but most villains are once you've read a hundred or so of these sorts of books. I would've liked to know more about why they did what they did though, it was kind of skint on details for that.

The romance wasn't as developed (it was pretty instalove) but I enjoyed the chemistry between Cale and Cassidy. There definitely wasn't as much investigating in this one but there was lots of action and drama. Overall, fun entertaining read, 4 stars.
