My Review:
I couldn’t wait to read this one after finished Nocturnes. I am very happy that I did. This book is much different then the other books and I felt you really learn a lot more about Mary and Lacey in this book. This book is told in Mary and Lacey’s POV and I actually enjoyed reading about what Lacey is feeling and going through. Mary just want peace, away from ghost and way from everything…she needs a break. Lacey is feeling like she needs to keep an eye on Willa and sees that Mary is going through some stuff so she gives her space. The friends seem to be going through something and I was liking how this book was unfolding.
This book gave you a lot more Willa and Jack and also let you see Mary as the tired teenager she is. When a voice starts whispering to her in her dreams and giving her a paradise she longs for it isn’t long before Mary starts to lose sight of what she is and suppose to do. But when girls start dying and they all seem to be targeting Willa can the friends snap Mary out of whatever is happened and get rid of a big bad evil?
I really enjoyed this book. I wanted to shake the hell out of Mary to get her to snap out of it, but I really don’t blame her, the poor girl hasn’t been able to catch a break. I loved reading both POVs and seeing the girls separated. This book once again has lots of twists and turns, I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. Each book I read from Sarah Dalton just confirms to me why I love this series so much. Lots of Creepy, a touch of romance and always a fantastic story. I hope we will see more of Mary and friends. I can’t wait to read the next one.
This book has some strong language and gory scenes, it’s best for kids over 15. I can’t recommend this series enough! These are the kind of books that make me read late into the night and sometimes with the lights on. ;)
