Nick has been a favorite of mine since the beginning, and it was interesting to see him meet his match in the strong-willed Calla. Both have experienced loss in the past which led to their own personal issues they had to work through separately, which makes their coupling more poignant. As always, there was an element of danger and suspense that kept the story moving and provided a good backdrop. The additional suspense is one of the aspects I love about JD Tyler’s series, I have had no complaints thus far, but this book left me unsatisfied. The romance wrapped up in an HEA but the underlying storyline left me hanging and checking my kindle to make sure I didn’t miss something. All in all it was a good book, and I would highly recommend it, but there was just something missing that left me wanting more.
