I think one of my favorite elements of this book was getting to know so many SnowDancers better. We have such a cursory knowledge of them before this book. But through getting to know Hawke and Sienna better, we get to see quite a range of SnowDancers. And then getting to know Hawke and Sienna was in itself a treat. Sienna was the real surprise for me. In my head, she's mainly grown up as a SnowDancer. But no, she lived so much in her short life and I was surprised to see her history. She's an even better match for Hawke than I anticipated. And we got a bonus couple in Kiss of snow: Sienna's uncle Walker and the SnowDancer healer Lara. I enjoyed their story almost as much as Sienna and Hawke's.
The plot progression was equally great. Everything we've been waiting for and anticipating starts coming to a head in this book. There's more action than I think we've seen in any of the previous books (maybe combined?). I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't say much. We're still waiting for some explosions and reveals (like Ghost's identity, for example) but we're getting so close. It's very exciting and I fully expect the next few books to be full of action and plot progression.
I continue to listen to this series and enjoy Angela Dawe's narration. I think she does a great job of bringing all the characters to life and there's quite a cast!
