An amnesia story!
I haven't read many, but rather thought In Love with a Wicked Man was a decent one. I liked Ned and his wickedness, and his story certainly inspired sympathy (I'm not sure certain aspects ever got wrapped up to my satisfaction, though I am rather demanding in that regard).
Kate was fun too, though her struggle-to-save-the-family-and-property character wasn't all that original. (Not to say Ned's was either, but you know.)
There was some suspense that went on toward the end that, although not completely out of place, did surge up seemingly out of nowhere. It would have been nice to have that sooner and more prevalent.
But many of the side characters were fun, and Kate's mother was wily and crafty, if a bit neglectful. Would pick up another Liz Carlyle book in the future.
