Quirky Cat
Summary:
Twilight is a master spy. By their nature, spies cannot be famous. But Twilight is as close as they come to being famous for his career. His latest assignment requires him to have the perfect family. While he's found the family, he's working on the perfect part...
The newly minted Forget family has had its fair share of problems. But nothing like the latest challenge – Yor's brother, Yuri, is in town and has opinions about this surprise marriage. Twilight will have to go above and beyond to impress him.
Review:
Okay, I'll be the first to say it - Spy x Family Vol. 3 has a bit of a corny plot. It's the whole loyal family member inspecting the relationship trope. That said, it's still a lot of fun – surprisingly so. It helps that there are a few twists in the mix.
In truth, this plot worked because the "family" did need these dynamics pushed a bit. Without outside help, it is likely that Yor and Twilight would be content to continue as they are, no changes needed.
Then there's Anya's subplot, which I enjoyed immensely. Her personality is so sweet (despite her willingness to cheat), and she desperately wants to make the Forger family work. But that doesn't stop chaos from reigning all around her. I love it.
