The whole lying to get close to a someone you think did something wrong by planting people in EVERY aspect of her life as friends disgusts me. Add in a hero who not only lies to get close to the heroine but then takes the relationship to a sexual level. Maybe if the truth came out BEFORE they take it there I wouldn't have as much of an issue, but it is SO skeevy to me to start a relationship, especially a D/S relationship based on lies. Considering that type of relationship is ALL about trust. I believe no one could get over a betrayal like that. I don't care how much he says "I love you" or "I am sorry." I mean, even going back to Liam's book which is one of my all-time favorite books by this author, and basically the same scenario, I STILL don't feel it was realistic that Avery got over what he did to her. And, yes, yes, I realize it is fiction, but this setup annoys me. (lol)
Last, Enough with the f-cking hooker jokes!! I seriously hope she kills off Tucker because there is NO way this guy can be redeemed into "hero" material. Not with the constant jokes and comments about how much he sleeps with prostitutes, and how he was treated for syphilis (the previous book mentions this). I don't get this author's obsession with sex workers?? Anyway...it is what it is.
