Andrea and her two children haven't been living in Haven Point for long. They are all adjusting to a shooting that had happened where Andie's life was saved, thanks to Wyn who caught the bullet. Wyn's brother was the victim of a hit-and-run that may have been on purpose. He's all alone and his family isn't near him. When Wyn asks Andie if she can keep an eye out for her brother, Andie says yes because she feels like she owes Wyn. But Marshall is a very stubborn and doesn't any help.
Man, I really liked the characters in this story. Haven Point is a very small community where everybody knows everybody. The characters are just so freaking nice. Everyone is! Haven Point is just that: a haven. It's peaceful and everyone is there for each other. I especially love the parades and parties they had going on. Andie needed a haven and she didn't technically find it at Haven Point at first, but after that whole ordeal with the shooting, she started to relax.
Andie is such a great mom to Will and Chloe. And those kids are the freaking cutest! I mean, they offered to decorate a Christmas tree for Marshall when they barely knew him. All three had trust issues but Marshall, without realizing it, he gave a reason to Andie, Will, and Chloe to trust again. It was so endearing to watch Marshall with Andie and with her kids. His relationship with the kids tugged at my heart-strings! The romance is so sweet and slow-burn. They only share a few kisses here and there so it's really not a physical relationship at all, which was a nice change of pace.
I only had two problems with this story. One of them was that the blurb mentioned the blizzard forced them to spend time together. While that is true, it's not the main idea of the story as the blurb makes it out to be. Honestly, they spent more time when there was no blizzard. Andie would still go to see him and help him out. The blizzard was kind of the change of scale in the relationship since that's when they could see if they could live together or not.
My other problem and this is me personally, that I wish I had read the previous books. The reason being that a lot of the things that happened in the previous book are mentioned in this one and I was very lost through the first part of the book, trying to make sense of Andie's arrival and the shooting.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Snowfall on Haven Point and it is a great read for the upcoming Christmas season.
