This major text covers the mathematics required in the first year of a degree or diploma course in engineering. The basic aims are to help students pass their examinations and to provide the sound foundations from which the mathematically- inclined engineer can build. In each chapter the learning objectives are listed and the mathematical material introduced and amplified through the liberal use of worked examples.
