We've all heard of fake dating, the bestest Romance trope in the universe. But have you heard of frating? Friend dating! Knot My Type was my introduction to this relationship style, and I have to say, I'm here for it! Frankie and Jay are definitely attracted to each other. She doesn't do flings, but she wants to have to sex with him. On the other hand, he hasn't done a proper relationship, just sex, in a long time and wants to take things slow with her. So Jay proposes that they frate. Just date for companionship rather than the sex. Can you say slow burn?
Well, not exactly. The frating plan is thrown out the window pretty quickly, but I still fully enjoyed Knot My Type. Jay and Frankie are crazy hot for each other, and there are plenty of awesome sexytimes between these two! It's not all sex though, as Jay has some emotional trauma to work through. Lucky for him, Frankie is not one to just let him run off and not deal with things. The communication in this one is pretty great. At times it does feel a bit scripted, but I think that comes down to Frankie's job. Perhaps that's just how she talks.
