Quirky Cat
Summary:
Jinwoo Sung has a reputation among the other hunters and dungeon adventurers – he's known as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind. Yeah, quite the blow to one's ego. Yet Jinwoo can't give up this job, as his mother's hospital bills keep on climbing.
However, one job changed everything. It should have been a regular dungeon, but it quickly became life-or-death. Somehow Jinwoo survived – but he's forever changed. Now he's working hard to level up and change the game.
Review:
And so the danger/drama continues in Solo Leveling Vol. 3! Jinwoo is about to learn even more about his abilities, and the danger may very well put him in. Side note: My binge-read of Solo Leveling is partially a re-read. I don't remember where I left off, so I'm starting at the beginning.
I loved Solo Leveling Vol. 3, if only because it brought several character arcs full circle. We needed to have that closure before Jinwoo moved on to his next big project (scheme? Whatever you want to call it).
The major antagonist in this volume was interesting. On the one hand, they did a great job of making him seem threatening, even to Jinwoo. On the other hand, I did feel like he was a little two-dimensional. I have higher hopes/expectations for the antagonist they're now teasing.
