I was devastated when I started reading Twisted Betrayal. Because of the cliffhanger in Cruel Intentions, I had no idea who or what was going to happen to Abby. My worst fears were recognized when she awoke at Parkhurst. She was at the mercy of her father. Out of all the people, he was the first on my list of “people who shouldn’t have Abby.”
I knew that the book was going to get intense when Kaiden’s brothers kidnapped her. I thought I was prepared from the last book. I thought the antics that Kaiden and Abby put me through as a reader was the worse it was going to get. Yeah, right. This book was double everything in Cruel Intentions.
Kaiden and Abby still had some serious chemistry. I did wonder if they would end up having sex. Mainly because of Abby’s feelings for him at the beginning of the book. When they did finally have sex, oh boy, was it explosive. The author outdid herself with the sex scenes too!!
Abby’s father disgusted me. The thing he said. The stuff he DID!! There was a specific scene at the end of the book that made me want to throw up. I hope he gets what is coming to him in book 3!!
The end of the book shocked me. Not only because of what happened (there were several things) but who was involved. Looking back, hints were leading up to that twist. And, again, the book ends on a cliffhanger. Why do that to me!!! I can’t wait until October!!
I would give Twisted Betrayal an Adult rating. There is sex. There is language. There is violence. I would recommend that no one under the age of 21 read this book.
I would reread Twisted Betrayal. I would recommend it to family and friends.
