Dare to Resist is a surprise baby, workplace romance that is the beginning of the new Dare Nation series from Carly Phillips and can be read as a standalone or as the first book in the series. Austin is a retired football player turned sports agent who is enjoying his life all while attempting to fight his attraction to his executive assistant. Quinn is determined to prove that she is more than her family thinks she should be all while fighting her attraction to her overly sexy boss. When Austin returns home after a night at the bar he finds a baby on his doorstep and in a moment of panic he calls Quinn to help him and begs her to move in. Austin and Quinn had amazing chemistry and worked well together but I found Quinn to be a little too much with her constant reminder of not wanting children. This was my first experience with Carly Phillips and I am looking forward to more books by her and the next story in the Dare Nation series.
