So of course, like a lot of others, I wasn't super excited about a novella from Brooke's POV, but I knew I'd read it because well, I love this series a lot. And I wanted to read more of the story, regardless of who was telling it.

Here's the thing: I still don't particularly like Brooke, even after reading it. But, I really liked the story in general. And even though I don't think I would ever want to spend time with someone like Brooke, I did get where she was coming from and felt for her plight. Which I suppose says a lot about what an awesome writer Veronica Rossi is, because if you can make someone love a story about and feel empathy for a character they really couldn't stand, that is pretty impressive.
