Occupied Greece, 1943. Music teacher Petros Alexiou saves the life of Thea Jamussa, a night-club singer - when she is attacked by an enraged Wehrmacht soldier and then, soon afterwards, when she faces summary execution at the hand of a Greek resistance leader.
