[Romance Schmomance]

It was another enjoyable read for me! This is my first time traveling/highland books I've read, so I've been a fan from the beginning.

I must say, the storyline was pretty simple and to the point, and being a novella, the story went pretty quickly. It went a little bit too quickly, but it didn't change my opinion much at all.

Susanna lived a very rough life, where it made her have a very strong mistrust for all men. Because of her upbringing, a caring man would always be a bastard in her eyes. I did find some scenarios quite unbelievable, like how quick she was to be with Robert and in his bed. I wish it was slowed down a little bit, so I could enjoy their relationship a little bit more. I think their story needed a little more time to play out.

Regardless, I am still a fan of the series and author, of course. I can't wait to read the next edition, to be honest, I'm pretty eager because I am so ready to know what happens between ... well you'll just have to read this one to know what I'm talking about.
