It’s hard to believe that this is the last issue of Scarlet. I don’t know why I’m so surprised by that. This is only the fifth issue (plus the previous print run, that is), but it felt like it was running for so much longer.
As far as conclusions go, this wasn’t a bad one. They wrapped up all of the major plot points, and while they left some of the smaller parts hanging, it all read well. I would have liked to see more wrap up for individual characters…but this series was meant to be as realistic as possible (just blown to extreme events), and we don’t always get to find out the whole story in real life.
I’m actually kind of sad that this one is over. It was incredibly heavy, and sometimes depressing, but I’ve grown attached to it. I guess I’ll have to see what the creators will come up with next? After all, there’s officially one less piece of work on their desk.
