This installment brings us Tegan and Suki’s story. Tegan is a demon, and the ruler of the second realm while Suki is a succubus.
Tegan never wanted to be a king, but he the death of his brother led to him being saddled with the throne. A warrior at heart, forced into a role of maintaining the truce his brother had brokered between the first realm of the demons and the elf kingdom. Bored from the lack of activity for the past thousand years, he planned to escape Hell and venture into the mortal realm for a temporary reprieve. He never counted on meeting the alluring succubus who would rock his world.
Suki is not your typical succubus. She struggles with feeding as she fears killing her mark and as a result, she faced the risk of being banished from her clan. She was never lucky to bag and tag a male powerful enough to survive her feeding until she laid eyes on Tegan. The lines of seduction became blurred as it became difficult to determine between the seducer and the one being seduced. A simple seduction morphed into a sweet, intense and scorching romance.
I loved how their relationship developed. Their slow burn romance was refreshing as this was not normal for this genre. I enjoyed watching their courtship, which was clumsy at first as they both had no clue about relationships. It had me smiling at every page turn. However, their journey to true love had its share of baggage in the form of pain, secrets, jealousy and heartbreak. I became invested in their relationship and I rooted for them as the story progressed. I had a blast with both characters.
Besides enjoying being embroiled in battle, Tegan was a voracious reader and was always eager for knowledge. So not only was he hot, he was smart. Suki proved to be a strong, resourceful and sassy female. I enjoyed watching her grow out of her insecurities throughout the story.
Characters from the previous books made an appearance, and it was fun catching up with them.
Seduced by a Demon delivered a fast-paced and sexy read, which fans of the author would enjoy. I consider this to be a lovely addition to the series. I am waiting with bated breath for what next the author has in store for this series as the overall story arc has yet to be completed.
