I was looking forward to this book. I like a mystery every once and while, and this one sounded interesting. Although the bulk of the plot seemed familiar, I did enjoy it. There were a few red herrings there that seemed promising, but I did realize who really did it, which did not spoil the experience. I think I am just so tired of the constant politics, which I try to escape by reading. I usually let these things slide, but because of my current mood with everything that is going on, it just tainted it for me.

The cover on this one is just ok in my opinion. It's an OK representation of the story, and the title work is good (if a little on the large size).



I don't have much to say about this one. It was OK. I knew pretty much right from the start what some of the twists were going to be. The plot wasn't exactly original. Nor did I particularly care for any of the characters. On top of that, the ending fell a bit flat for me as well.That said, it was a relatively quick read, and I found it engaging enough that I finished it. So that is a checkmark in the plus column for it I guess.
