I don't know of any girl growing up in the 90's who didn't dream of dating Prince William and Prince Harry. This book (and the series as a whole) is basically a homage to those dreams and fantasies. You have two sexy, eligible princes from England Wessco living with their grandmother, the Queen, after the untimely death of Princes Diana their parents. Oh yes, and these two princes have served in the military and enjoy partying. It's as close to reality as you can get without being Catherine Middleton and Meghan Markle.
Nick and Olivia's relationship is the bedrock of this novel. Their instantaneous and explosive chemistry sold me on their relationship, particularly since they move from strangers to lovers in a blink of an eye. Each of them grow as their romance develops, although not without some growing pains. Their insecurity, with themselves and with their relationship, is honestly explored. It's not always pretty, but insecurities never are. The sex scenes are satisfying, but never overwhelm the story. I like sexy times, but my interest wanes if sexy times replaces plot.
tl;dr A satisfying and sexy romance between a commoner and a prince to satisfy any girl's heart.

The MC's are also not really that different from all the other NA novels, and I did not connect that much with them. Later on it was all sex, sex, sex and I know it was to be expected, but I got a bit bored with it and skimmed through the scenes.
So I would like to give this one 2.5 stars, rounding it up to 3 stars because it did get me at the beginning?

The frog (more like a toad) ended up being a Prince…
Hubby busted me bawling my eyes out again and guess what his first response was? “What did he do?” Yes, it’s irrefutable, my hubby knows me well. I’m one of the lucky ones that have a hubby willing to give me a cuddle when I’m a bit teary…with only mild teasing as payment.
He hurt me…well he hurt her…but it hurt me too. Words can wound.
Royally Screwed was not at all what I thought it would be. I kind of thought it would be light-hearted and funny. There were parts that were humorous and there were parts that were extremely sexy but I couldn’t help looking at it with a wee bit of a heavy heart. The more I got to know both of the main characters the more sympathy I felt. This wasn’t just a story of the Prince riding in on his charger and saving the day. There was definitely reciprocal savings needed.
Olivia works at and runs the family coffee shop. She also makes pies…a lot of pies. Her day starts at 4 o’clock in the morning and doesn’t finish until late. Work is her life. Olivia doesn’t get to take time off because her father and sister depend on her. Ellie, her sister, is finishing off school and is destined for further education. Their father, on the other hand, is still recovering from the death of their mother. His recovery is taking a wee bit too long in my opinion.
So, Olivia has a full plate and not a lot of time for fun and frivolity. When an extremely handsome man comes into the diner with a few other blokes, she has no idea her world is about to change…forever.
Prince Nicholas so and so from so and so is always being watched (too many names and I couldn’t remember the spelling of the place). He’s used to it but it doesn’t mean he likes it. His Grandmother is the Queen and Nicholas, next in line to the throne. Now, to start with, that doesn’t seem too bad. Destined to be King, watched by a few million people…hmmm, I could do that…I think.
Let’s add to the equation his parents died when he was 14 and his younger brother seems to have gone off the rails. Oh, and Granny is a bit of a tyrant…who talks to paintings.
Hmmm…maybe not so easy after all.
Nicholas and Olivia’s first meeting was not a fairytale start. Nicholas is a douchewaffle and Olivia doesn’t have the time or energy to put up with his arrogant behaviour. She sends him on his way but can’t forget him.
Nicholas was a wee bit two sheets to the wind when he sees Olivia and acts very badly. When he sobers up and remembers the encounter (with a little help from his mate Simon) he is horrified and determined to make amends.
What follows is my kind of fairytale sweeping her off her feet apology. The more time they spend together the more they enjoy each others company. But, Nicholas knows he can’t plan on forever with Olivia.
I loved Royally Screwed. This is the best kind of angst that sends me into emotional overload. Yes, I get a little frustrated but not to the level where I want to throw things or I want to castrate the next bloke who walks in the room. And hubby is very thankful for that.
Royally Screwed had characters, main and additional, that were amazing. The sizzling chemistry between Olivia and Nicholas was off the charts. I was sucked into the storyline from the very first page until the last. Overall, it was a great reading experience.
I haven’t read a lot of Emma Chase but I will definitely be reading more soon…ish. Henry’s story is going to be awesome. As soon as I “met” his heroine, I knew I wanted her to have a happy ever after.

Emma Chase tackles Royalty with her brand of sexy romance. I was excited to see what she was going to do to a Royal Family and all I can say is All Hail the Queen! Prince Nicholas was the absolute perfect book boyfriend. A bit of an ass, he often flip-flopped between being too good to be true or a domineering alpha. But not matter how he was acting, it was hard not to fall for this prince who wanted someone to see him as just Nicholas.
Forced, by royal edict, to go to New York and corral his wild younger brother, Nicholas finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place. His grandmother has determined a royal wedding needs to happen and demands he pick his bride. What Nicholas does instead is pick up alcohol, which then leads him to venture into a bakery late at night and making a salacious offer to the woman behind the counter. From that moment on, everything changes for Nicholas.
Olivia was trying to keep her family bakery alive while her sister went to school and her father drowned his sorrows in the bottom of a bottle. She didn't know what to expect when a drunk, uppity Englishman came into her bakery, but she had no clue he would turn her world upside down.
Nicholas and Olivia were not looking for any kind of relationship, but they fell into one when they were inexplicably drawn to one another. They balanced each other out and were always quick to point out when each of their crazy was starting to show. They may not have been looking for love, but with each other, they found the type of relationship they had both seen with their parents but didn't think they'd find for themselves. Despite Olivia not being used to the paparazzi, the aristocracy pettiness, a high-handed grandmother and a duty you were born to perform, she helped Nicholas be regular Nicholas. Helped him realize there was more to life than duties to the crown. And helped him understand exactly what he was willing to give up to be with the woman he loved.
Royally Screwed was sexy, cheeky and just too damn good to put down.
She’s even lovelier than I remembered, than I dreamed. Delicate midnight tendrils frame a face that belongs in a museum—with stunning dark sapphire eyes that should be commemorated in vibrant oils and soft watercolors. If Helen launched a thousand ships, this girl could raise a thousand hard-ons.
She’s prettily made, the top of her head coming only to my chin, but fantastically curvy. Great full tits that strain the buttons of a wrinkled white blouse, shapely hips in a black skirt tapering to a tiny waist I could wrap my hands around and toned legs encased in sheer black tights finish off the whole package very nicely.
An unfamiliar anxiousness fizzes like soda in my gut.
“The door was open,” I explain.
“It’s broken.”
Logan flicks at the lock. Security is his life, so a broken lock would annoy him like a puzzle with the final piece missing.
“What do you want?”
