I've been waiting for the conclusion of Jaymerson and Hunter's story, with the way things ended in Shattered Love. I was a bit on edge to see what Stacey would put our hearts through before they got their happy ever after. It was nearly enough that I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this book, but I NEEDED that happy ending! I'd probably cause a riot if we didn't get it, but Stacey would never do that to us!
Broken Love had the exact same tone as Shattered Love. I can't say that I was completely on board with Jayme and Hunter's thought process about things when it came to their relationship. I've never been so frustrated before with a couple than I was with these two. They definitely had so much to work through with not only themselves but each other as well. There's a lot of history and pain between them, but their love was one that neither one of them could ever get past.
I loved seeing the growth in Jayme. People were still constantly taking stabs at her and it just annoyed me, so I was so ready for that day she'd give them a piece of her fire. Because she totally has it! You definitely could see her teenage moments come out here and there, but she grew up so much in Broken Love. Eventually one endures enough before they reach their limits.
Hunter, Hunter, Hunter .... he killed me more times that I could count. He was completely maddening and I was wondering when he'd pull his head out of his ass. It seemed like so much time was wasted by being apart when they just needed to be completely honest with each other. And Hunter needed to put Jayme first, so there were plenty of times when he didn't quite grasp that.
My goodness, these two together are absolutely explosive. Their love for one another ran so deep and nothing could keep them apart in the end. The angst is REALLLL in this one and you'll feel all the feels. I was a bit of a blubbering mess and just wanted these two together already. It wasn't an easy road for them, but I enjoyed their journey (even if it had me pulling my hair out). Despite their time apart, I thought it was absolutely necessary because there were some things that they needed to experience away from each other.
Such a wonderful conclusion to this emotional story!
