This was a somewhat typical new adult genre book. However, it was still good. I liked the characters a great deal and I felt that Jonah was better written than most of the alpha fighter bad boys in this genre. My full review is here: http://www.thebookdisciple.com
Yawn. At one point I needed to double check that I wasn't reading Beautiful Disaster, overall, it's practically a carbon copy. Male protagonist, makes a living through violence, possessive need to protect girl, moves her into his house. Girl, virgin, but will happily have hot sex with said male protagonist shortly after meeting, from a broken home, father well known in Vegas. Jonah is a more likable character than your average Travis Maddox, but he's also forgettable. The only one that had the remote chance of a personality, was Raven's father, the ever lovely pimp.
Fans of Taking Chances by Molly McAdams, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire or the Abbi Glines series Too Far, will more than likely enjoy Fighting for Flight.
4.5 stars!!! I really needed a good book. I'm so glad I decided to read this one! This was a great book!!!! I LOVED Jonah and Raven, they knew from the very beginning they were destined to be together. One thing I really enjoyed about this book was how loving and affectionate Jonah was with Raven. He was a cold, no commitment, love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy....until Raven came along. I LOVED that he kept himself in control around her until neither one could stand it anymore. He knew she grew up with no love and affection and he took it upon himself to lavish her with both. Big bad alpha was super badass sweetheart on the inside! *swoony sigh* Oh and I read it in like 4 hours... I did not want to put it down and I did not want it to end!!!
Secondary characters- once you get past what a ho bag Blake is he turns out to be a good guy. I'm really looking forward to his book.... like, I cannot wait!!! Oh and Eve needs a good man.... STAT!!!
