...Which kind of set the tone for the novel.
This piece I literally could not stop reading from chapter one. What really pulled me in was that the pain of losing someone if throughout the whole book. Is there another romance between both the main character Johnathon a couple of years down the line? It's Andrew Grey, of course there's romance beyond the first chapter.
But Greg is never really gone. He's there from chapter one to the epilogue, in Jonathon's pain, and his joy and it's beautiful. I cried for nearly three full hours while reading this, keeping tissues on hand and only stopping when I couldn't make out the text any longer. This was painful in the best possible way, showing how someone can honor someone they lost and still move on.
I could go on for pages of how affected I still am after finishing this novel almost an hour ago, but I won't. I will say that if you're in the mood for something that will make you -feel- then you should give this a read.
In simpler words; it touched me.
