I received this book for free from Obsidian in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
You know it's going to be a good book when the very first paragraph grabs you. The rest of the book totally lived up to that first paragraph, which is also a huge plus!
I really liked Angie and Jonah. All the characters were well written, and I loved learning about the town. There were a number of funny moments in the book, as well as a few sad ones when past deaths came to light.
I had no idea who the killer was, but it made total sense once the reveal happened. There were a few minor mysteries woven around the main one, and the Bigfoot sightings and how the town reacted to them was entertaining. Unlike a lot of mysteries, where the main character goes running after the killer at the end, Angie didn't do that. She even did the smart thing and called her police chief boyfriend. She still ended up in trouble, but it wasn't because she went haring off to catch the killer on her own.
If you like mysteries (or books in general) with Amish and humor, you need to read this book. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
Pattern Included: Quilted Tulip Pot Holder.
