This was such a cool book. These two authors have created an amazingly unique world of magic, mystery, slight romance, and camaraderie. I was hooked from the first page and I enjoyed following Jo on her journey through this new place. I also loved that she was a hacker. I've not read many books where the heroine is the badass hacker chick and it was super cool to see.

This is Elise Kova launch into a new series that is in the Adult Fantasy realm.  I don't tend to gravitate to much into this genre but their a few authors that i will hands down pick up no matter what.  Deborah harkness, Jim Butcher, Stephen King just a few adult authors that i thoroughly enjoy and i can now add this wonderful duo of Elise and Lynn.   In this new series we have a unique take on wishes and how they are taken care of.  When a wish is made the society members grant the wish, and therefore change that reality. They and their magic are the bridge that makes that possible. But always at a cost.  Whenever magic is involved a cost has to be taken into account. 

I like that though this book is written by a duo i could not tell where one author dominated over another they flowed together seamlessly which made for a great flow to the story.  Since this is an adult novel i was expecting the romance to be ramped up from the normal ya that i read.  It was and it was shared in a way that did not make me cringe and want to close the book.  It also did not dominate the story which tends to happen in most adult novels i have picked.  Props to the authors for being able to carry an amazing plot with a sprinkle of romance. 

I thought the authors did a wonderful job setting up the world, descriptions of places in the story where on point, and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of characters in the novel i have to say pan is by far my favorite.  As the novel winds down to the end we are left with the perfect set up to jump into book two with a character that your not quite sure is good or bad.  Nor are you quite sure what his objective is but you know that is going to be mysterious and enjoyable as the adventure continues in Circle of Ashes April 2018.
