Everything about Blonde with a Wand was predictable, but I adored it anyway! It was just so much fun to read! I loved the kind of enemies-to-lovers feel of the romance, since obviously, Anica is mad at Jasper in the beginning. Then he spends some time plotting his revenge for her turning him into a tiny feline. He doesn't spend the entire book as a cat though. There's a fun twist on the spell which lets him be a man for a little while, which of course, he and Anica take complete advantage of! A couple of the sex scenes did make me giggle, since Anica thought she was being daring, but as an Erotica fan, it was nothing but tame.
My favorite part was probably the cameos from Dorcas and Ambrose from the Hex series! Anica has to call on the couple for assistance, since she has no magic and her sister isn't much help. They're not a huge part of the story, but it was still nice to see them. I also loved the update on the lake monsters! I adore little surprises like that.
It's really no surprise that I liked Blonde with a Wand. It's a great example of paranormal Chick Lit: magical, hilarious, and sexy! While Anica and Jasper's story was nicely wrapped up, there was a bit of a semi-cliffhanger regarding her sister, Lily. Time to find out what mischief she's gotten herself into!
