Eerie and chilling. A perfect match to the darkly thunderous day I happened to read this book on. Even though this is definitely a horror genre book, it was tastefully written. It wasn't overdone with theatrics but it didn't lack any of the suspense either. On top of that, I thought the plot was intriguing and different with strong characters and great dialogue. "The Doorkeepers" will have you catching your breath at least once.
