I enjoyed A Werewolf in Manhattan. It's a quick, cute, fun read with plenty of sexy times! However, the plots were resolved way too quickly, or not all. The young Were after Emma, Theo, is a total creep and everyone knows it. He does manage to sneak past security, but in true Alpha fashion, Aidan takes him out. But then there's nothing after that. He just kind of disappears from the book entirely. There's no mention of him being dealt with, or any subsequent plans to get near Emma. It's a total wasted opportunity, since I really like stalker type plots.
Then there's the obstacles to Emma and Aidan's happily ever after. It's mentioned several times throughout A Werewolf in Manhattan that Aidan is being pressured to marry a female Were from a distinguished family, and even if he doesn't, being with a human is not even a question. I was expecting some type of big blow out with his family, Aidan standing up for his true love, but it all kind of fizzled. He does get into it with his father, since he's his Alpha, but it all works out too nicely. Emma is welcomed into the family with open arms, and no one really gives a second thought to her exposing them, even accidentally through her writing. I would have liked a bit more tension before that cutesy epilogue.
This review seems more negative than I wanted, but I really did enjoy A Werewolf in Manhattan. Obviously it has its problems, as most books do, but it is super fun and the perfect escape type read.
