The fact that the hero of this book was British drew me in, the step-sibling romance an added plus.  

Spider and Rose meet, coincidentally, on a flight to Texas.  They're both drawn to each other, despite Spider being a d-bag.  Once in Texas, they discovered they're step-siblings.  Spider's father issues an ultimatum and Rose's heart is broken.  It takes years apart, a successful rock career and a chance meeting at a bar for these two to finally figure out how to get what they want.

It was hard to reconcile the d-bag version of Spider to the version that truly cared about Rose and would do anything for her.  I know there were reasons and substances behind the d-bag version, but they just seemed so far off.  That guy she met on the plane, who had his mile-high moment while she slept, just didn't seem like someone you'd want to waste a moment of time on....even if he was hot as hell.

In the end, I did enjoy the romance, but I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have others by this author.  The hero/heroine didn't draw me in from the very beginning and make me want their romance to work.
