When I hear of a début author I'm always curious. The cover of this book really appealed to me. I did not realize it was a Florida Keyes novel until I started in. I was reading an eARC and figured I would read a chapter or two to see if it should go on my to-review list. I didn't expect to be so captivated that I was reading well until 4 AM until I could fend off sleep no-longer. The next afternoon, I read the rest.
Love's Rescue, the first book in the new Keys of Promise series has some beautiful scenes; Christine's words are a poetic vision on the page. The title has several meanings which in the end reveal themselves. In places I was entertained, I was scared and nervous, I was excited and enthusiastic for plausible outcomes as they occurred. Throughout I was surprised by what would happen next and I continually wanted to turn the next page.
Love's Rescue is an excellent read! I highly recommend it and would read it again. It's been years since I read Kathleen Y'Barbo's Keyes novels and if you enjoyed those of MaryLu Tyndall's seaside stories, you will love this one. Reading the snippet of the next novel I'm eager!
