This book was interesting....
I appreciated the writing style and the fact that everything is mostly tied up neatly at the end but the ending still leaves you with and ahhh sh*t moment. It's also one of those scary thrillers cause it could be real.. this could happen.. The Other People could be out there...



I got lost in the turns a few times but I thought this was overall a successful read, it was enjoyable for sure.

OMFG!! WOW!! This book has flown to first place for the most epic of 2020 already! Frick! This book boggled my mind when I was reading it. I started it and once I started it I was hooked and like Gabe driving aimlessly around the motorway, it became my way of life for a couple of days (around adulting).

Parts of The Other People left me with chills, big fat chills, especially the epilogue I meant WTF! What an ending! Ok, I won’t get there because I know people don’t like that, but Jesus just be prepared that when you pick this up, you will be like an addict needing your next fix.

THIS.BOOK.WILL.NOT.LET.GO!

There is no fix for you with this book. There is a chill in the air that has nowhere it wants to be but to haunt you! I never want to look in a mirror again and I had that fear years ago thanks to Candyman!

One thing I did love about this book and the sadistic “Other People” is the degree of separation between people. We are all connected and this time it was terrifying how everyone was connected to each other. With each chapter you read, it teases out a bit more information, about the past and the present and the paranormal. With each bit of information I got, the words OMFG leap out of my mouth. I think 15 chapters in I decided to not even bother guess what was going and just go with it. No way can you play detective with this type of book!

I really did bloody love this book! It is just phenomenal, how Tudor manages to draw out the suspense, teases some supernatural, drips tension off every page is just a credit to her. I think she just now ruined every book for me. I am not sure I can read anymore. Short and snappy chapters meant I could inhale this book, I must have been doing some speed reading as on my lunch I read over 100 pages. I switched off from everything and everyone and went on Gabe’s story.

I should really talk about the story but it is hard to do so. If I do, 1 The Other People mind find out and 2. The Other People might find ME! So the best thing to do is to keep quiet about Gabe’s driving up and down the motorway. About how you can never quite be sure about the Samaritan. How Katie is such a wholesome character who I related to so much more than anyone else after the loss of her dad. Or Alice and her sleeping issues and how she can bring pebbles back from her dreams. How karma really is a bitch!! Photos can be manipulated and never accept drinks from other people. And finally, How, I really do not trust anyone after reading this, people really aren’t who they say they are. Oh!!! I think that is too much! I have to stop!

Just read this awesome book! I wanted to read this sooner but someone who shall remain nameless (*cough* Eva *cough*) banned me until they got their copy and then I couldn’t get to it until now! So don’t do a Zoé, don’t wait to read it, be sensible and buy it now and read it!!!

The Other People is hands down one of the best thrillers, best books, I have ever read. I was hooked from the very beginning, and I kept getting ridiculously excited about each new twist and turn, where I would shut the book for thirty seconds hardly able to believe what I'd just read.

CJ Tudor is an absolute mistress of crime thrillers. The pacing was immense, the chapters short enough you had to "just read one more" consistently til I had finished the book, the characters were fantastic; flawed, damaged but believable and redeemable.

I enjoyed every single page of this book. This book reminded exactly why I love the written word so much, why books are my major passion in life, it was everything I love in a book and I am absolutely devastated that it's over, because it was utterly fantastic.

I'm immediately going to read CJ's other books because this was spot on. I cannot praise this book enough.
