This is another good book from the Lizzy and Diesel series. Of course in this one we have our duo trying to get the stone of Lust and having to use stuff from the dead Havard professor that was killed by a girl that didn't normally have powers.
This book in all of this glory is a good one and I don't really want to spoil anything on it since they are so good. Janet Evanovich is a good author and I love her books. I hope that everyone that gets to read this book and likes it as well. I love this book and I give it a five star as well.

Diesel's quest to find all of the SAGILIA stones takes on a slightly gruesome twist when a man's body is found at the bottom of his apartment building with a handprint burnt into the back of his neck. Sounds just like Wulf right? Wrong. Someone else has a temper and serious powers, and they aren't afraid to use either.
The second book follows Lizzie, Diesel and Carl the monkey as they try to find the Lovey stone (which is, as you may have guessed, the Lust or Invidia stone) and wind up stealing a painting, a bell, a nameplate, a museum display and a key. Although to be fair, Carl steals the key, Diesel steals the other items, and Lizzie has to put up with them being in her house.
Wulf's less than delightful sidekick Hatchet winds up with an extreme case of case because of Gloria's attempts at magic. She is eventually able to fix it, but leaves him with an allergic reaction instead. The hilarious exploits continue when later on, after being entirely cured, Hatchet becomes infatuated with Gloria after coming into possession of the stone for Wulf.
If you are looking for an easy, light adventure, with a little bit of sexual tension and a lot of laughter then you should definitely read this and Wicked Appetite, the first novel in the series.

The two are searching for a stone of lust, following a path of getting stones related to the seven deadly sins. While I enjoyed it, there were times the story seemed to revolve around "get characters into trouble and whacky hi-jinks ensue" and that was the first phrase that came to mind when I thought about this review "wacky hi-jinks ensue" it felt a little forced occasionally and somewhat repeditive. I didn't regreat reading it but honestly, it pushed my very liberal suspension of disbelief. Some of the characters came across as unbelievable (and I read a lot of urban fantasy but Hatchet was pathetic and I kinda half-expected Wulf to start twirling moustaches...) and just a bit off. A library read and I did find it diverting but I'm not rushing out to get the next book in the series, if book 1 hadn't been available in the library I wouldn't have been heartbroken to just leave it there

Diesel and Lizzy are on the hunt for 7 stones - each embodying a deadly sin. In this book, it's the stone for Lust. So it's a treasure hunt, complete with puzzles, clues and required objects. I love this kind of stuff - pure Goonies. :) I like Lizzy; she's no Lara Croft, but she's got moxie. I found the comedy to be laugh-out-loud as only Janet Evanovich can write - she can make me laugh at the rudest boy humour! A bit of danger, a bit of frustrated romance. Great supporting characters who are all interesting and likeable - Glo and her spells are always good for a chuckle.
Many will find this series to be silly beyond the pale, but I knew going into this series exactly what I was in for - I'd read the Plum between-the-numbers books starring Diesel and I enjoyed them for the light, fun reads they were designed to be. If you enjoyed those, you'll have the right expectations for this series. I just loved reading this book and I had an absolute blast until the end. I sincerely look forward to the next Diesel and Lizzy adventure.
