Emily's focus is her country-rock band, Carolina George but when her demons catch up to her she tries to push everyone away. Royce is sent by his step-father to make Carolina George sign the contract that their company is offering. Royce and Emily share a passionate night together that is not supposed to be more. The next morning everything changes when Royce walks into the hotel room where Carolina George is having a meeting. Royce and Emily try to ignore the chemistry between them but it ends up being too much to deny. With so many secrets being hidden will everyone survive once they come out?
A.L. Jackson knows how to deliver a suspenseful story and make you feel like you are part of the story. Royce and Emily's relationship grew nicely throughout the book. Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose did a great job narrating the story. I found Emily and to be too be a little too dramatic but there is a twist in the story I did not see coming and made it worth the listen.
