Romance Schmomance

Embry is deeply scarred from her previous relationship and that's what made her run in the first place. And no one except her best friend Morgan knew why. And that's what caused her to build these mile high walls, but Luke knocks them down pretty quickly. It's inevitable, especially when they can't stay away from each other. She's a very focused and determined girl, and I love that about her. Guy or no guy, she stays on her career path pretty well ... or does she?
Luke is the perfect man for Embry ... well if you look past certain things. But he's holding a pretty huge secret, I kind of assumed what it was and that got pissed pretty quickly.
The both have pasts and one of theirs could potentially ruin the entire relationship. BUT, that's not the only thing they got going for them, they seriously can't catch a break and it's just UNFAIR.
Overall, I liked this book, it didn't pull me the way I was hoping it would. I was a fan of Luke and Embry, they created perfectly for this book. I had a hard time with the pace of the book, although their relationship started and picked up quickly, it was just a constant pace after that. And I was waiting for more to happen. It did pick up towards the end, and I kept reading and reading ... AND BAM ... cliffhanger. The one thing that all readers despise, but there it was laughing in my face.
By the end, I was hooked onto the story and am now very eager to know what happens with Embry and Luke. There are just so many questions that I have and I know they will be answered in book 2, so I'm ready when you are!
