I should've checked the book a little more closely before giving it a chance - I'm realizing I was recommended this from a romance subreddit when it is, in fact, clearly labelled an erotica. I see why it's liked though.
I enjoyed the writing, though it did take a me a little to get used to (especially considering the author's noticeable habits, even if they don't make this unreadable), but I'm DNFing this at 27% because at least 5 sex scenes have happened and I feel like I wasn't allowed to feel the tension. Granted, this book racked up a whole lot more tension before I decided to call it quits, but I'm not as invested as I should be, and I can predict I'll be bored or even frustrated with the amount of sex before the halfway point.
Also, though I understand the author is known for straight erotica, opening a book with graphic straight sex wasn't something I expected from a gay erotica novel - like, we love bisexuality but the detail felt... a little like wish-fulfilling from the author.
