Her characters are vibrant and fun and the story moves along very nicely. For maybe the first third of the book I just felt like she was explaining every emotion, the history behind every thought. Not obnoxiously, just overtly which is why I think the problem was my mood and not her writing.
I did like that there wasn't that awful moment. You know in some books when everything seems to be just beginning to go well and then suddenly goes horribly wrong? I hate that. I recover, but I hate it. And the moment I thought everything was going to go wrong, was actually quite nice. So I appreciate that.
Her characters really are fantastic and there's romance and humor and it's totally worth a re-read eventually to see if I'm in a more favorable mood.
